Stephanie Berkeley

Manager, Farm Safety Foundation

Stephanie Berkeley is the Manager of The Farm Safety Foundation or Yellow Wellies as many know them. A small charity with a big goal – to challenge and change the attitudes and behaviours to farm safety and mental health in the UK’s farming industry. Originally from Co. Donegal, Ireland, Stephanie grew up surrounded by farmers and fishermen, industries that shaped her passion for safety and well-being. After studying Business and a postgraduate in Journalism and gaining international experience working in Spain, Stephanie built a diverse career in journalism and publishing, including editing the award-winning Northern Woman magazine.

In 2014, Stephanie moved to Stratford-upon-Avon and took the helm of a new charity set up by NFU Mutual – The Farm Safety Foundation - where she has made a remarkable impact in raising awareness around farm safety and mental health in the next generation of farmers. Her work includes developing innovative education programmes and award-winning campaigns like Farm Safety Week and Mind Your Head that are helping to save lives and make a real difference to farming communities. Recently named a “Game Changer” by Farmers Weekly and awarded Associateship of the Council for Awards of Royal Agricultural Societies, Stephanie is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider and author of practical guides on farm safety and mental health.
