Jonathan Scurlock
Renewable Energy in Agriculture
Dr Jonathan Scurlock FRSA founded the consultancy Renewable Energy in Agriculture, specialising in the land-based renewable energy market.
He was formerly Chief Adviser on renewable energy and climate change at the National Farmers’ Union, where he led analysis and provided strategic advice on energy, climate change and net zero to NFU leadership and members.
Dr Scurlock’s background spans university and government research, covering energy and climate policy, plant physiology, bioenergy and other renewable technologies. He was educated at Oxford and London and is a Visiting Fellow at the Open University.
