James Yeatman is a dairy farmer based in North Dorset. Alongside his wife and children, he milks 400 cows giving an average of 11,000 litres per cow in an Autumn block calving system. James has always shown a keen interest in maximising the welfare of his herd. He always thought that there could be improvements to the management of downer cows on his farm and industry wide. He therefore created the Cow Recovery System to improve the lives of cows and those who care for them.
