My name is Jackie Hough, I am the Industry Manager (Land-Based) at City & Guilds.

My role is to work with employers and industry bodies, to support the diversity of the land-based sector, and to ensure that they are involved in the development of qualifications impacting their future workforce.  

Prior to City & Guilds, I worked in a Land-Based College, for 18 years, supporting all aspects of STEM, Careers, and other associated projects, such as T Levels.

We run our own home family farm in the Bowland Fells, so I actually do live and breathe land-based!

I have also successfully run my own Pet Behaviour referrals business, working with the Veterinary industry for many years, specialising in Canine, Feline and Equine behaviour, and lectured at degree level for many years.

My passion for land-based is very real, and I feel privileged to represent this diverse sector in my role as Industry Manager.
