LAMMA Show set for continued success25 June 2015
With almost seven months to go before LAMMA 2016 takes place at the East of England showground in Peterborough on January 20th & 21st, bookings for stand space from both returning and new exhibitors stand at over 700.
“We are delighted to have so many exhibitors booking their stands for the Show this early in the year,” says Rupert Levy, Director of Briefing Media, which owns LAMMA, “This is further evidence that the quality and quantity of visitors to LAMMA 2015 resulted in a large amount of business being done by exhibitors at the show.”
Since the last show, an assessment of the short to medium term development of the Show has taken place and the conclusion reached was that the unique nature of the event was a major reason for its continued success.
Commenting on the conclusions of this assessment, Neil Thackray, Managing Director of Briefing Media Agriculture said, ‘ I am a big believer in the old adage ‘ if it isn’t broken, don’t try to fix it”. The LAMMA Show concept has stood the test of time to such an extent that the event has grown, both in size and importance in the UK farming calendar, throughout its thirty-five year history. It is, of course, important to review the situation from time to time, but we have decided that now is not the time to make changes.
Furthermore, we will be working with the East of England Showground management to push through a programme of site improvements and developments which will enhance both the visitor and exhibitor experience at the Show. The long established LAMMA tradition of free entry and free car parking for visitors will be maintained.
The LAMMA Show is a unique event in the farming calendar and as organisers we are duty bound to protect its heritage and enhance its reputation not only in the UK but much further afield.”
