KUHN launches flagship 6.0m power harrow combination
Built to deliver consistent establishment performance across a wide range of soil types, the new machine introduces a modular approach, allowing operators to switch between four interchangeable seeding toolbar options depending on crop requirements and drilling applications.
The HR 6030 RCS can be paired with three combinable seeding systems or an 8-row Kosma precision drill, making it suitable for cereals as well as precision-drilled crops such as maize and sugar beet. The setup also provides flexibility for specialist crops including sunflowers and pumpkins, giving growers greater versatility from a single machine platform.
Designed for tractors from 350hp, KUHN says the machine’s layout keeps the centre of gravity close to the tractor, helping to improve balance, stability and traction in the field.
The machine also incorporates several low-maintenance features aimed at reducing downtime and improving durability, including:
- Maintenance-free rotor components
- Carbide-coated Fast-Fit tines
- Oil-cooled gearboxes
To support different establishment systems, KUHN offers two integrated seed tank options. The TF 1512 hopper provides a standard capacity of 1,500 litres, extendable to 2,000 litres with hopper extensions.
For growers looking to combine seed and fertiliser placement, the larger TF 2300 C features a 60/40 split hopper design, allowing simultaneous delivery from its 2,360-litre capacity.
Control of the power harrow, toolbar and seed tank is managed through IsoBus compatibility, enabling operation via the tractor’s UT display or through a standalone CCI terminal.
The launch reflects continued demand for versatile cultivation and drilling systems capable of adapting to changing crop rotations, establishment strategies and precision farming requirements.
Visitors to LAMMA Show can expect to see the latest cultivation, drilling and precision farming innovations from leading manufacturers as the industry continues to focus on efficiency, flexibility and productivity.
