¬KIOTI UK launches new machines at LAMMA 23
)
KIOTI UK will launch three new and exciting products at LAMMA 23 into the ag sector. The introduction of Zemmler MS1000 & MS1600 mobile rotary screeners provide customers wanting to screen and separate waste materials with a cost effective and practical solution. The HX series (90 to 115hp) offers the first KIOTI tractor to this popular four-cylinder-tractor sector. The KIOTI K9 UTV receives a welcome facelift, including the addition of a factory fitted air-conditioned cab for increased driver comfort.
Zemmler MS 1000 & MS1600
Founded back in 2000, Zemmler have grown to become a leading global supplier of trommel (drum) rotary screens, offering a total of 11 models with capacities from 5m3/hr to 180m3/hr; capable of screening and separating a wide range of materials from 2mm to 80mm in to two or three fractions.
Whilst capable of handling general waste, metal recycling and biomass, Kioti UK will initially concentrate on screening soil, rubble and woodchip used in land reclamation, building and composting applications with the smaller MS1000 and MS1600 mobile screeners, with capacities of up to 20m3/hr and 30m3/hr respectively. Both can be comfortably towed with a mid-sized commercial vehicle, set up ready to work in minutes and electrically driven. The MS1000 separates material into two fractions, whereas the MS1600 can be fitted with a slip-on ring to sperate into three fractions.
“Reusing waste material is now a hot topic. Whether that be rubble for building projects or compost for spreading on fields, the ability to sort, separate and remove unwanted objects makes this possible” says Patrick Desmond, General Manager of Kioti UK. “Using a mobile rotary screener means that material can be sorted in situ, avoiding the cost of additional transport.”.
Setup and operation of a mobile unit is simple and straight forward. Once the machine’s parking jacks have been set, the discharge conveyors lowered, and a 3-phase electric supply connected, the operator can start loading material into the on-board hopper. Adjusting the speed of the hopper’s conveyor belt - using an electric dial - determines the throughput of the separator. Whilst altering the angle of the trommel further dictates is screening effectiveness, the steeper the angle, the longer the material spends in the trommel.
The trommel’s quick release mechanism makes lightwork of changing the sieve for one of a different mesh size should a change of application dictate, and a cleaning brush ensures they remain clear of blockages.
KIOTI HX Tractor Series
The new HX series of tractors from South Korean manufacturer KIOTI offers a new efficient, comfortable and cost-effective option for farmers looking to buy a tractor in the 90 to 140hp sector.
Making its debut at the SIMA show in Paris, the KIOTI HX is powered by a KIOTI 3.8l 4-cylinder STAGE V turbo charged engine. The series consists of three models, the HX9010 rated to 90 hp, the HX1001 rated to 100hp and the HX1201 rated to 115hp, all with an automatic on demand PTO boost of 10hp.
Featuring a comfortable and luxurious cab, with fully adjustable air suspension seat, LCD dashboard and ergonomic controls, the HX cab provides the operator with a pleasant working environment.
A two-stage mechanical transmission with a 4 x 4 powershift arrangement provides 32 forward and reverse gears, offering a maximum speed of 40 km/hr. The ‘E-shift’ allows gear changes on the move without using the clutch pedal.
With versatility in mind, the HX features a CAT 2 rear hitch with a 4.4te lift capacity, two rear double acting services and a rear PTO with 540, 540 ECO and 1000 rpm options, which can be engaged manually or via the automatic mode linked to the rear linkage. Operators wishing to increase the versatility of their HX can do so by fitting an optional front linkage and PTO or a front loader, operated by an integrated four-way control lever.
Prices for the range topping HX 1201 start from £71,750.
