TRAMSPREAD 1400m hose reeler

We offer mounted, trailed, and fast tow trailed reelers in a variety of specifications. All of our reelers have been designed to heavy duty, yet easy to use.

Tramspread 1400m, 1000m and 600m random wrap hose reelers are designed for use with front or rear tractor linkage.

The 600m version has a galvanised detachable spool which is easily and quickly removed from the heavy duty and robust carrying frame by removing two securing pins, lowering the reel to the ground, and moving away. One frame can serve several spools. The spool is rotated by a heavy-duty motor and gear drive powered hydraulically from the tractor, giving a positive and controlled recovery, and laying out of the hose with no over-run. A large trough in the centre of the spool is used for easy loading of drag hose and couplings.

The 1000m version has all the features of the 600m and in addition, has twin hydraulic drive to give increased power to hose recovery which allows longer lengths of drag hose to be recovered at any one time. There are two tool boxes, one on each side, to provide easy storage. This reeler can comfortably hold up to either 1000m of 4-inch hose, 1000m of 5-inch hose, 600m of 6-inch hose or a mixture of when using the easily attached partitions.

The new 1400m reeler has an enlarged and strengthened main frame. The three-point linkage frame is also heavier, and the linkage brackets have been lowered to give additional lift height. The heavy-duty twin hydraulic motor drive system from the 1000m reeler has been retained.

A new optional light bar can now be fitted above the reel and encompasses side lights and indicators which operate with the tractor’s lights whilst a remote-control fob is used to switch main beam and dip beam headlights and a central worklight bar. This bar also serves as a safety device to stop couplings from potentially damaging the tractor if the reel is operated too quickly.
