Infratec™
Infratec™ draws on near infrared transmittance technology, digital connectivity and touch screen operation to make grain quality control faster and less demanding for the operator. It works as a reliable cornerstone for any grain handling operation, from farm stores and merchant intake points through to mills and processors.
What it measures
Infratec™ analyses barley, wheat, maize and other cereals, oilseeds, beans and pulses. Available parameters include moisture, protein, oil, test weight, starch, wet gluten, fibre and ash, depending on the calibrations installed.
Speed at intake
Analysis takes less than 60 seconds for 10 sub-samples including test weight, and as little as 40 seconds with dynamic sub-sampling enabled. The automatic start function begins the measurement as soon as the sample is poured in, so operators can run it with minimal training.
Results you can trade on
Infratec™ uses artificial neural network calibrations built on a wide sample range from many years of harvests, drawing on a database of more than 50,000 cross checked samples. This gives a level of accuracy and stability that allows Infratec™ to test even unusual samples. The patented stabilising technique holds accuracy across a working temperature range of -4°C to +40°C, with protein predictable to within 0.1%.
Built for the harvest environment
The instrument is IP54 rated for protection against dust and water splashes, and carries approvals in line with EN 15948. A 10 inch capacitive touch screen, pin code access by operator level and a history view keep the instrument usable through a busy intake week.
Connected and supported
Ethernet and USB connectivity allow remote monitoring of instrument performance and operator compliance, along with automated calibration updates and data export. FOSS IQX™ digital solutions support instrument management across multiple sites. Optional modules cover test weight and flour analysis, with flour calibrations available when the flour module is fitted.
