  • JCB Agriculture is celebrating a major milestone in its long record of innovative machine design and engineering – the 40th anniversary of the Loadall telescopic handler – by exhibiting a special limited edition 541-70 Agri Pro at the LAMMA show, Peterborough in January 2018.

  • The outstanding performance of JCB’s six-tonne capacity Loadall 560-80 telescopic handler can now be exploited with the added finesse of hydrostatic drive while still packing a punch on bulk re-handling and loading with the AGRI Pro version due to make its UK debut at the LAMMA show, Peterborough in January 2018.

  • JCB Agriculture will launch a bigger capacity, more productive telescopic wheeled loader at the LAMMA show.

Building upon the success of the 3.2 tonne lift capacity TM320 and TM320S, the new JCB TM420 brings 32% more load lifting ability at 4100kg and 200mm of additional lift height at 5.4 metres to more easily load high-sided diet feeders and storage bins.

The new machine incorporates all the improvements and upgrades evident on the latest-specification TM320 and TM320S, including an improved cab with instruments providing daily start-up checks from the driver’s seat; LED lighting options; and self-lubricating bushes that extend greasing intervals to 500 hours.

The newcomer also uses the same 108kW (145hp) JCB EcoMAX engine that meets Euro Stage IV / US Tier 4 Final emissions rules using SCR but no diesel particulates filter (DPF).

However, to deliver its significantly increased performance and productivity potential, the new JCB TM420 also features:

    • Regenerative hydraulics circuit giving faster boom lowering for quicker loading cycles
    • A tougher chassis with larger pins and bushes for the centre pivot and loader
    • Heavier-duty JCB axles with permanent four-wheel drive to handle the increased payload
    • 26in wheels with larger tyres to optimise traction, flotation and productivity

  • The all-new Landini Rex 4 Series tractors will make their UK farming debut at the LAMMA show in January, representing a new range of compact but powerful and durable power units suited to applications where space is limited.

The 95hp Rex 4-100 F will be on display from a line-up spanning 69-111hp and available in different configurations to suit a number of applications.

The ‘F’ version, for example, can be configured to no more than 1.3m wide so it has potential as a heavy-duty yard and cubicle house scraping tractor, while the ultra-narrow version that can be set up barely 1m wide is designed primarily for vineyard work.

There are seven power outputs altogether and the new transmissions available provide a three-speed powershift option for the first time, enabling operators to quickly change ground speed when towing or working soil-engaging implements without losing momentum.

    • New P6-Drive transmission adds speeds and more refinement
    • Extended range includes more powerful X7.690 P6-Drive
    • Tier 4 Final engines need no additional emissions hardware
    • New semi-active cab suspension and data screen upgrades

Increased power and performance, and cab refinements that make life more comfortable for operators are among features of the second-generation McCormick X7 Series tractors being launched at the LAMMA show.

  • Technical Waste Solutions (TWS) is a leading, independent UK waste management company, offering a wide and integrated range of waste recycling, disposal and consultancy services. TWS have been appointed as the UK Distributor for Veenhuis Machines – our experience and expertise in the application of wastes to land, coupled with the many innovations and patents held by Veenhuis, can provide a high-quality machine programme to suit the growing requirements of farmers and agricultural contractors.

Veenhuis develop, design and manufacture systems and products to enable growers to benefit from organic manure, digestate and slurry application. Injecting into the soil has become more attractive, not only because of new laws and regulations, but also because of the practical benefits such as optimum absorption of the nutrients and thus reduced use of artificial fertilisers.

Veenhuis is a third generation family company that was established in 1938 and their specialism is valued all around the world; the familiar yellow Veenhuis machines are the guarantee of quality. Over the years Veenhuis has taken a leading position in organic manure handling, specialising in high-end solutions for modern large scale farming.

With low emission precision application systems featuring inline nutrient sensors, adjustable flow controls, flow meters and GPS receivers with in cab display/control units able to control application rates and volumes... Veenhuis is the solution you should be looking at...!

Not only that, but are you aware of the available grant funding that will almost certainly save you considerable amounts if you are approved? -  Grant funding is available (subject to approval) under the RPA Countryside Productivity Scheme, providing upwards of £35,000 to a maximum of 40% of the cost of projects/equipment that improve farm productivity i.e. improving slurry/digestate application.

Veenhuis have developed a new piece of kit that is and will change the face of manure handling – Nutri-Flow.

Alongside the Nutri-Flow system Veenhuis offers a wide selection of manure handling machines; Tankers, Disk Injectors, Cultivators, Arable Land Injectors, Drag Hose Systems, Trailing Shoe Spreaders and Slurry Handling.

    Nutri-Flow

The rapidly growing food-production industry requires a sustainable solution for agricultural waste products, while making optimum use of the nutrient content. Amongst the various machines available, Veenhuis have been working on a particularly exciting new venture which enables farmers to apply the manure according to real-time analyses of the NPK nutrients in the slurry. The Nutri-Flow system is communicating through Isobus with all modern farming data management systems.

For a number of years, Veenhuis has been working with the Dutch company B & N ProScan, which has over 27 year’s experience with the application of NIR spectroscopy. The application of NIR spectroscopy for the determination of content substances or contents has already been on an increasing scale in the agricultural sector.
