New steering and software features for Bauer tankers
Bauer's latest steel and poly-tank slurry and digestate tankers can have a new axle steering system and upgraded control software features.
Bauer will exhibit one of its signature poly-tankers, a 21,000-litre tandem axle unit featuring a new contactless forced steering system for the rear axle.
The machine will also highlight new field application control software with field mapping, and a Vogelsang 24m Swing Max5 dribble will illustrate the range of application hardware available.
Bauer’s high-specification poly and steel tankers are produced in the main for large farms and contractors handling big amounts of slurry from dairy, pig and other livestock units, or digestate from anaerobic digestion (AD) biogas plants.
Robust build, considerable variation in terms of features and layout, and good road manners during high-speed road travel between store and field are key features appreciated by professional users.
Then there are the unique characteristics of Bauer’s poly tankers, which have a container built from hand-layered woven polyester sheets, a weight-saving solution that is impervious to corrosion, emphasises Rob Jackson, area sales manager for Bauer in the UK and Ireland.
“Finished with an outer layer of Gelcoat that protects against the tank’s otherwise corrosive effects of its contents, as well as exterior contaminants and the elements, the poly tankers’ structure and galvanised chassis means they clean up really well and can look like new even after a lot of use, resulting in strong re-sale values.”
Examples of Bauer’s comprehensive range of Helix, submersible and pto-driven pumps will also be on the LAMMA show stand, alongside slurry separators illustrating the wide range of slurry separators from Bauer and FAN Separator, a Bauer subsidiary.
They will include a FAN PS3.3 Green Bedding unit capable of producing a soft lining material for cow cubicles, and an Elevator fully-integrated mobile set-up with variable discharge height.
