The East of England Showground have been carrying out a programme of works on the ground over 2014 which look to improve the conditions of the site for LAMMA's exhibitors and visitors.

The programme includes the installation of new roadside drainage, expanded roadways (using gravel to extend roadway widths) and also replaced / upgraded tarmac.

Some of the work in recent months has included:


Grass Seed: Over seeding of the internal areas paying close attention to exposed areas and infilling with fresh soil.

French Drains: Digging out drains and filling with stone along road edges. 

Flushing of Land Drains: 3 days of onsite flushing of land drains with damaged drains being dug up and repaired.


French Drains: Continued installation of roadside ‘French drains’

Repair / Replacement of Tarmac Roads: Repair and replacement of tarmac roadways with new tarmac applied to Dunblane Drive entrance and East Arena Roadway

New Roads: Installation of 2 new gravel style roadways in the West Car Park

How to get there

East of England showground

Peterborough, PE2 6XE, UK

A free Shuttle bus service will run between Peterborough train station and the East of England Showground.  The service starts at 7am on both days, with the final bus leaving the showground at 5pm to return to the station, subject to local traffic conditions.
