SHOW BUILD UP
Please note that a strict high vis policy operates during the build up . Jackets are available at a cost from the LAMMA Office.
The showground is generally quiet on the weekend before the show and we would encourage exhibitors to set up then to avoid congestion, especially if there are large exhibits to be placed that would block the roadways e.g. with lorry cranes.

Build Up and Breakdown schedules
The Peterborough showground site has many underground utilities including 11KV electrical systems, water, gas and telecoms. It is therefore imperative that all sites are assessed and scanned before breaking ground for stakes, flagpoles, fencing, marquees etc.
Craig Sells or Den Stretton – 07539 787755
PLAN The underground services plan is not 100% accurate but does give you a basic layout of the utilities on site.
SCAN Once onsite mark out your marquee / flagpole / dig sites and get these scanned using a Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) detector. See contacts above.
ACTION If there is an area which conflicts with your marquee legs or flagpoles, then preferably move the structure at least 1 metre from the cable/utility. If you cannot move the structure then please spread the load of the leg or flagpole using a large footplate and weight down the structure with the appropriate static weight.
RESPONSIBILITY It is the exhibitor’s / contractors responsibility to ensure that this safety procedure is followed and this record completed and a copy returned to the organiser’s office.
DEPTHS The cables were originally placed around 600mm deep, but if your scan does not give an accurate depth rating, then you must not guess and use short stakes. Water Gas and BT cables were also originally places around 600mm deep but this may not be consistent across the site
IF IN DOUBT DO NOT TAKE RISKS
